Inuit Throat Singer Coming to Santa Fe Indian Market August 18-25

Bronitsky and Associates is bringing Inuit throat singer Lois Suluk Locke from Arviat, Nunavut, Canada, to perform in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Lois Suluk Locke will perform during the Santa Fe Indian Market (www.swaia.org), the oldest, largest and most famous juried show of traditional and contemporary American Indian arts and crafts in the United States. Lois Suluk Locke is the first non-US Indigenous performer ever invited to perform during Indian Market, and she has also been invited to participate in the clothing contest on Sunday morning during Indian Market, the most photographed portion of this annual event, which attracts over 100,000 people to Santa Fe. Lois Will also be performing at the El Rey Theater in Albuquerque--click here for more details.

Maxwell Street Klezmer Band: NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH BRONITSKY AND ASSOCIATES!

I have discovered a fantastic group of musicians that are as professional and talented as they are personable and delightful to work with! Best of all, they are ACCESSIBLE: to paraphrase the rye bread commercial, You don't have to be Jewish to love Maxwell Street!

As a German critic writes: "Maxwell Street Klezmer Band is perched in the forefront of the Neo-Klezmer Movement. Yiddish Swing, Jazz and Early 20th Century pop music are funneled through Gypsy Big Band arrangements-- consider music inspired by Fiddler on the Roof performed with Squirrel Nut Zippers' grandiose yet loose technique."
